beehiiv’s new pricing: same page, two stories.
In the September 23 capture the pricing page offers Launch ($0), Scale ($43 a month) and Max ($96 a month) at the default 1,000 subscribers with annual billing. In the October 3 capture it offers Free ($0), Lite ($49 a month), Pro ($95 a month) and Enterprise at the same default. beehiiv maps Scale to Lite and Max to Pro.
Archive capture dates, not the release time; Tyler’s post is dated October 1, 2026. Both captures show only the 1,000 subscriber default. The larger tiers come from beehiiv’s own posts: the old ones from an undated pricing post whose 1,000 subscriber prices match the September capture, the new ones from the October 1 post.
Pay more at scale, for a platform beehiiv says is worth more.
Tyler wrote that the new prices fund the core platform: publishing, automations, growth and monetization tools, and email delivery. He also wrote that beehiiv does not grow by just raising prices, and pointed to self-serve plans that now go to 250,000 subscribers instead of 100,000. Some limits went down: Lite has 2 team seats where Scale had 3, and Pro has 10 where Max had unlimited.
“We don't grow beehiiv by just raising prices. We grow it by making the platform worth more, and that's what we've spent the last few years doing.”
“@beehiiv keeps increasing its prices every year. As a customer, I feel ripped off. So I'm churning.” His post also says 12x; that is from his own grandfathered price, not list to list. At 50K on Lite the list price goes from $2,628 to $2,988 a year (about 14%).

Updating prices lets us continue investing in our core platform experience: the publishing flow, automations, growth and monetization tools, and the sending infrastructure that keeps your posts landing in inboxes.
From Tyler’s post on the beehiiv blog, verified October 4, 2026. The same post says “Grow to 250K without a sales call.” It explains the reasons; it does not report any result of the change.

If you're an existing customer, nothing changes until your first renewal on or after November 1, 2026.

Existing customers move to the new prices at renewal, starting November 1, 2026, so most of the effect has not happened yet.

Still open. New prices apply to new customers from October 1, 2026 and to existing customers at their first renewal on or after November 1, 2026. No source reports churn, signups or revenue since the change, and one customer’s post is not a measure of churn.
How many existing customers renew on the new plans, and what happens to churn at the larger tiers?
