DanielFounder, Small BetsSmall Bets stopped selling lifetime membership and made email the new front door.
On September 20, the hero promises 54 classes, one payment and lifetime ownership, adds a 7,734-member community, and leads to Join now. On October 8, the same hero keeps the 54 classes but replaces the payment and community promise with occasional emails and a Subscribe action. Farther down, the current page says Small Bets is closed to new members, existing members keep their classes, and there is nothing to buy.
The captures bound the visible change between September 20 and October 8, 2026. They do not establish the exact release date, why Daniel or Gumroad closed membership, whether the existing community remains active, or how the change affected revenue or audience growth.
Keep the library visible while removing the sale.
Our reading: the new page preserves the class catalogue as proof of what Small Bets created, while email becomes the only public next step for new visitors. The page states the new access model clearly, but Daniel has not published an explanation we could verify for this decision.
One payment opens the class library and a community presented as 7,734 members strong.
The classes remain for existing members, while new visitors are invited to receive occasional emails.
